Mike Clay
Mike Clay is the Director of Strategic Communications at Bondi Partners, where he leverages over 15 years of experience leading high-stakes public affairs and social impact campaigns for top-tier political organizations and national government entities. Mike has helped deliver historic election victories, broken new ground for digital campaigns, and neutered fierce opposition with data-driven shifts in narrative.
Prior to joining Bondi Partners, Mike served as the Director of Strategic Communications to the Australian Government Minister for Health and Aged Care, where he directed the communications strategy for a multi-billion dollar portfolio with many complex and contested areas of reform.
Mike previously spent over a decade as a senior journalist and producer at Australia's top news organizations. As an Executive Producer at SBS Australia, he drove the strategic turnaround of a national current affairs program and led a team to win 10 major awards, including multiple Walkley Awards—Australia’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.
Mike holds a Master of Business Administration from Australia's top-ranked MBA program, a Master of Arts in Development Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communications from the University of New South Wales.
