Salim Bhabhrawala
Salim Bhabhrawala is an accomplished public servant specializing in international critical mineral supply chains. Mr. Bhabhrawala retired in April 2025 after 25 years of distinguished service to the United States Federal Government. He was one of the foremost experts in critical mineral supply chains, and was one of the original authors of the first critical minerals Executive Order in 2019. Most recently, he was the International Critical Minerals Coordinator in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
Prior to that, he was the Critical Materials Program Manager at DOE’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC), managing key critical minerals funding and tax incentive provisions under various government authorities. He also served as the Critical Materials Team Lead at the U.S. Department of Commerce from 2018-2022. Salim brings a unique perspective to the team on the importance of trade alliances in rare earth elements and critical materials to federal initiatives in energy, manufacturing, national security, and defense.
